Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Project Overview

We are an ethically sourced data company building a Live AI Business Knowledge platform designed for long-term scale.

This is a stealth-stage AI startup where your architectural decisions will directly shape the core platform. You will help design and build foundational systems intended to scale from day one.

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for an independent-contractor engagement to design and implement the core platform architecture, user experiences, and production-grade infrastructure.

Engagement Structure & Compensation

• Engagement Type: Independent Contractor
• Compensation: $3,000/month contractor engagement + meaningful equity participation
• Duration: 3 months (starting March 2026)
• Time Commitment: ~25–30 hours/week (milestone-based, self-scheduled)

Equity participation will be structured as Non-Qualified Stock Options (NSOs) and aligned to scope, experience, and milestone ownership. All grants are subject to Board approval.

This engagement is structured for senior engineers who enjoy building early platform infrastructure, working in startup environments, and participating in meaningful equity upside while contributing to real product development.

Contractors may have the opportunity to extend the engagement and increase equity participation as the platform scales.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. This role does not provide visa sponsorship.

What You'll Work On

You will design and ship:

• A scalable, multi-tenant SaaS architecture
• Modern React-based frontend systems
• Backend services and API layers supporting platform workflows
• Authentication, authorization, and identity systems
• Enterprise API integrations (CRM systems, collaboration platforms, and data services)
• Cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, environments)
• Performance optimization, reliability, and security controls
• Integration points with AI/ML systems and agent orchestration

Deliverables are defined collaboratively and executed through milestone-based phases.

Required Experience

Must Have

• 7+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience in production SaaS environments
• Experience shipping and operating production SaaS platforms
• Strong proficiency in:
• Modern JavaScript / TypeScript
• Backend services built with Python-based frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, or Django)
• React and component-based frontend architecture
• Backend API and service design
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred)
• Experience designing for scalability, performance, and system tradeoffs

Preferred

• Early-stage platform build experience
• Multi-tenant architecture design
• DevOps and infrastructure-as-code exposure
• Collaboration with AI/ML or data-driven systems

How We Work

This is a contractor engagement. You determine how the work is performed, use your own tools and equipment, manage your own schedule to meet agreed milestones, and handle your own taxes and expenses.

Collaboration is async-friendly with structured architecture reviews and integration discussions as needed.
